Delaware: Security deposits

25 Del. C. § 5514(a): for a term of 1 year or more, deposit may not exceed 1 month's rent (same cap applies to month-to-month continuing 1 year or more). Limits do not apply to furnished units; a pet deposit up to 1 month's rent is allowed on top.

§ 5514(b) requires an escrow account at a federally insured institution with a Delaware office, but does not require interest be paid to the tenant.

The uploaded dataset lists a deposit-return period of 20 days. Review the cited rule for the applicable conditions and timing.
